Face To Face

Face To Face

There is no longer any occasion

Vacations are over, festivals ended

Everyone returned to work as usual

It is time to invite you alone

Here, in my study room, beside me

With new books with open bookmarks

It is time to recall the past, bygone hours

Set aside mutual differences, dislikes

Like the clear words of the open books

I wandered through too many streets

You too did the same, yet all those street

Took us nowhere, tangled us into maze

There is nothing left to whisper more

Secretly with our souls, or deny the truths

It is time to recall everything, decide upon

There is no longer any occasion

It is time to invite you alone

Across the table, face to face…

A Romantic Biography

A Romantic Biography

The more I look at my face

The more I become nostalgic

I lived well, yet never enjoyed it

There were so many ifs and buts

Whoever knows me better

Would admit it certainly

I know few women, like me still

I know they even regret it more

Too many stories in circulations

With fabrications beyond truths

Too many people believe them

Too many people like them more

And those few women, on mobile

Or often in usual social gatherings

Keep distance with smile in eyes

With concerns over my well-being

Still, I prefer them more than anything

Still, I enjoy being left alone in my way

The more I look at my face

The more I become nostalgic

The more I think about me

The more I feel confident

The more I recall everything

The more I rejoice most…

Vulnerability

Vulnerability

Now, at last- when

There is no more confusion

No more doubts or hesitation

I think of inviting you, personally

To dance with me this evening

Keeping the eyes transfixed

Like the sailor of a sinking boat

Or the lover writing the suicide note

Beside the loaded shotgun

As far as the edges of our dreams

We both can sustain few more injuries

Deep inside the soul, like seasoned marines

Or else, we can just keep going on

Like the usual traffic during busy hours

Fooling around each other’s vulnerability

Naked Alphabets

Naked Alphabets

I was already in her apartment

Looking everywhere, not for her

But for my letters, old and forgotten

I left parts of myself, private and secret

Hidden and submerged, drowned deep

Into the abyss of the naked alphabets

I was not sure about her, where was she?

Had she taken all the letters with her, or

The letters drove her away, far away

Far away from the fantasies, imported

Far away from her make-ups, old and new

Far away from the illusions, deeply anchored

It was raining all day like monsoon

With thick clouds hovering stubbornly, and

All my shadows were too faint to be noticed

Few memories kept coming on at random

Few memories were too shy to reappear, again

I was worried for my letters, old and forgotten

Arriving Soon

Arriving Soon

Riding the night winds

Hoping to find you finally

Beyond wild dreams, old and new

Even beyond your expectations

Winter has settled down

With gloves in hands,

With leather jackets and jeans,

Blue or white, the color you like most

Not all men are lovers

Not all lovers will love you

Without secret designs

Deep inside their sparkling eyes

These days with confusions

All around, and women like you

Skeptic, uncertain, dazzled

With uneven pasts and present

Ancestorial stories will never help

Neither the fairytales on TV shows

Nor even the romantic beaches

With summer, around the corners

Some women choose isolations

Fearing everything else other than

The mirror images of everyday life

Childish fantasies, puberty dogmas…

I guess every woman wants the same man

With same mannerisms, chivalries

Fixed ideas about love sex and beyond

Pivoting around the same old stories

So here I’m unlike anyone else,

Or unlike all your expectations,

And hallucinations, unlike any story

Written before or will be written ever…
